DECEMBER 11, 2010 ACS ALL AMERICAN Tour 8 Ball Tournament
December 10, 2010: One of our regulars from Illinois, Eric, started the countdown to the tournament on his facebook page last night. Way to go, Eric! We are now less than 24 hours away from start time. Yay!
I thought I would let you know that tomorrow morning for a BREAKFAST SPECIAL you can choose either scrambled eggs, biscuit, and sausage gravy OR scrambled eggs, two slices of bacon, and breakfast spud bites (big, chunky hashbrowns). Cost will be $5.00. We will have some kind of a lunch special also, I just haven't figured it out yet. LOL
And, just last night (this morning at 4.00 a.m.) Steve and Rob finished refurbishing the 9 footer. The slate has been re-set, smoothed, and waxed. There are new rails and new Simonis felt on it. Jimmy cleaned and polished the balls, so I'm thinking it should be nice to play on! Steve, Rob, and Jimmy played a couple of games on it and say it is, "smooth," and "fast." They also said the pockets were, "tight," (whatever that means). They said it like it was a good thing, so I'm going with it.
Anyway, everyone drive safe to get here and we will see you shortly!
December 9, 2010: To kick off this weekend - 999 Tournament! Friday nite at 9:00 p.m., $9.00 entry, 9 Ball Tournament - Texas Express rules - Alternate breaks. Elimination and races will be determined based upon the number of entries. See you there!!! Sign up by 8:30 p.m.
December 8, 2010: Sharky's is looking forward to a GREAT tournament this weekend! We have players coming from Illinois - we love you Chris! And, we've had inquiries from players in Springfield, Columbia, and several other surrounding towns. We hope to see many of our regulars there, as well. It is always fun to see old friends and new faces at these tournaments. Drive safe, everyone, and we'll see you this Saturday.
Doors will open at 9:00 a.m. Saturday morning for those who want to come early to get warmed up. We'll have the coffee on and be serving breakfast. There will be a $10.00 greens fee instead of using quarters.
Let's see, what else? Oh! We will have a separate Women's Tournament for the females who do not want to play with the guys (since they do get a little intense at this tourney)! Females may play in the regular tournament, if they desire, however - they may not play in both.
We'll see you Saturday!
